About the Artist
Queen is a NYC- based, poet & self-taught artist who began her art career at the beginning of 2020. With a focus on abstract portraits of the feminine form, Queen uses vibrant pop colors and contrasting white on black expressive freehand line drawings, reminiscent of the artist Keith Haring. Much of her work uses geometric designs set in surreal landscapes that uplifts and expresses the depth of the black feminine experience. Queen takes pride in her culture and understands how often it is misrepresented. She hopes to expand the perception of black culture and experience with her art.
